You may be waiting a while as the roll outs are in phases. I think it's brand new systems first, then laptops, then all the rest after that. Creators Update has some issues and that's probably why the rollout is slower at the moment.

If you do upgrade now, it's overall stable at 1703 15063.296

Anniversary Update was much the same, some didn't get it through windows update until 4-6 months down the line.

    Creators Rollout

Hi. Every one of the 50 PCs I support of all ages has been offered the Creators update once the existing version is fully updated in 'Update & Security' just look for the message, go to the link and download it. As far as I can see it is being offered to everyone and not being phased.

Clicking or double clicking on it doesn't do anything for me either. Right clicking and choosing Open seems to work.
Double-clicking the Defender icon opens the Windows Defender Security Center on my W10 Home installation (Insider build 16193).

    That's not what Microsoft say...

The Creators Update will begin to roll out on April 11th. Like with the Anniversary Update we delivered last August, this update for Windows will proceed in phases. Based on our experience and feedback from our customers, we believe a phased approach provides the highest quality update experience to the broadest set of customers. The first phase will target newer devices, especially those we tested together with our OEM hardware partners. We will then expand the Creators Update release to additional devices based on the feedback we receive during the initial phase. We’ll iterate this process over a period of several months until all compatible devices running Windows 10 worldwide are offered the Creators Update.

I think many computers will have that message about wanting to be first to get the Creator's Update.

But I think it will take a while longer before those computers upgrade themselves without the user doing something to trigger it - that's where the phased rollout comes into play.

That's for use if you don't want to wait for it to be offered via Windows update. If you ignore it, and wait long enough, you'll be automatically upgraded via Windows Update. Some people already have, and some are still waiting. And some just clicked that link to get it over with.

Yes, but does it give you a way to switch the brightness down from 100%?
I have seen the same message and when I clicked it, ended up on a screen with no option to change brightness.

You should be able to keep brightness as you see fit though. If you are on a laptop and plugged in then maybe you want it at 100% and why shouldn't you have it like that? There should be a way to shut off the silly warning beside restarting laptop till it scans again. Though imo it should not be giving you a warning for this in the first place especially if you are plugged in. You can change brightness levels - it just has no effect.

Unless that message and link has changed, it takes you to a MS site to become an Insider. Which, if you do, will restart the box and set you up on the Release Preview Ring. Still 15063 CU, but the Release Preview Ring. I have no way of testing that since all mine are already updated, but maybe someone else could.
