    Your PC may seem faster because the cpu is not down clocking like it`s supposed to using the Balanced power plan, mine was all over the place, I had to switch to the Power Saver plan.

    Not sure why but the cpu kept spiking and would not settle down.

    Oh, OK. I use monitor calibrating software/hardware combo to calibrate my NEC monitor, which is why I asked. I was just wondering if the update messed with calibration software. For me, no it doesn't. I use NEC's SpectraView II software with an X-Rite i1 colorimeter. Anyway after the update, the software was still working and my calibration setting still stick.

    As far as your issue. You might either reinstall the NVidia software or look for an updated package.

    Good luck.

    Not sure if this is a bug or design? But in night light mode the cursor remains the same "Temperature" as if Night Light was off.. kind of jarring. Also why replace Open Command Window here with Open Power Shell?? I don't like that.

    Also Cortana still cannot open Music in WMP or iTunes what the hell?

    Cortana in general is much better and I like this update aside from a few things.

    @robin0800

    In settings, go to Personalization>Themes>Desktop Icon settings, and un-check it.

    Done.

    so far so good. My wife says she likes new system, says her images are much clearer and crisper.

    I like it. It boots about 30 - 40 secs faster and shutdown is really quick too. Boot up is in the region of 40-42 seconds now. BUT, this is on top of a virgin installation, so might slow down a bit later on.

    Maybe prefers it somewhere else, like Start Menu. To keep a clean Desktop. Just a guess.

    I guess I am over thinking this!
    It's an excellent idea to create or update your disk image - use option 'Backup Windows' or the second in the drop down list 'Backup tasks'.

    No issues if you restore your backup. And make sure you have Macrium's bootable medium as well, and why not take the opportunity to save the new Win 10 iso so you can use that as a bootable rescue disk too- or if you have to retry the upgrade?

    @RECONBunny

    Somebody with more know-how in graphics and color bits 'n bytes can explain this better. But I've noticed this. I believe it has to do with the gamma and rendering of what's in the video buffer, AFTER it is sent to the display. The display internal circuits are responsible for actually putting the image up on the screen. It's my understanding that Night Lite (blue light reduction) must be supported on the physical display.

    As an example, I set Night Lite to a ridiculous level, did a screenshot and took a pic. The screenshot captured the buffer (Un-Night-lited) and the camera pic captured what you see. Would seem to indicate the display hardware is doing the Night-Lite work from control characters sent to it by the graphics card. I know I can go into my Intel HD Graphics Control panel, and get similar results by lowering the gamma setting. I know just enough to be dangerous!

    Here's the comparison...... Screenshot on top, camera pic on bottom. May explain the cursor not doing the Night Lite.
