Stuck in Safe Mode.
My computer suddenly restarted, and when I got o MSCONFIG and change from Selective startup to Normal, and press Apply, it goes back to Selective Startup.
In Boot tab, it's for some reason set to Safe Mode with Networking, when I uncheck that and press apple, it rechecks itself. And stays in Safe mode.
Any ideas?
Hi, given that it suddenly restarted and won't boot normally, let's first check your disk.
If you can, download Crystal Diskinfo on another PC (free, incl. portable) to check SMART params. Easy to find. Put it on a flash drive or CD etc, and plug it in/insert it, and run it.
You will get a quick Good/caution/bad display.
If that's ok, you could try using a restore point. Shift left click restart, and navigate through Troubleshooting to System Restore.
(Only valid if you turned System restore on at some point and have a usable restore point).
Otherwise, you will need to boot from a suitable boot disk (e.g. Kyhi's at the top of the Software and Apps section) for a familiar Win 10 environment, or a Win 10 bootable medium to a command prompt and restore the backup copy of the registry.
Do you have any form of recovery disk or disk image that you have previously created?
