No brightness option on new computer?

I just bought a new computer and new display and for some reason I cannot turn down my brightness. There just is no option where it should be. Is this an issue with my display or system?

Your System Specs mention a Desktop so many of the controls will be in the Menu/Settings on the monitor itself, not in the Operating System.

Ok, that would make sense. I've only used laptops before and this is the first desktop I've owned personally, so I hope its ok if i ask where I would find the display settings for my monitor?

There are buttons somewhere on the monitor itself that do things, first to find is marked either Menu or Settings then go from there. Hard to get more specific without knowing the exact make and model of the monitor, different brands have their own way of incorporating them.
