    [SOLVED] How to restore Control Panel entry on Start context menu on?

    Since I upgraded to Windows 10 Version 1703, I noticed that the Control Panel from Start menu context menu (Windows + X) is missing. I'm sure Microsoft wants to push Settings at all costs, but I wish they didn't try to shove it down users' throats and instead give us options. Do you know how can I restore it on the list?

    Create a folder on your desktop called GodMode.{ED7BA470-8E54-465E-825C-99712043E01C}

    Gets smaller release after release though.

    For those that don't want to use a 3rd party program to add Control Panel back to the Win+X menu. :)

    Click on Winkey.....scroll down to Windows System, expand, Control Panel is there ....right clicking on it gives option to put in Start Menu or pin to Taskbar.

    System has gone from + X as well. Prior to 1703 you would press "Y" for "System"

    It now takes you to a far less useful place.

    I'll check out that editor - perhaps you could post a link.

    Thank you a lot Brink, this is helpful tutorial for those who are not keen on using third party applications.

    I'm afraid I'm not allowed to post links from third-party websites on Ten Forums. But if you google "Win+X Menu Editor for Windows 10 and Windows 8", it's the very first result. You can not only add or remove entries, but change the order by moving the items up or down, it's a little neat program.
