It does not matter, whenever you disable or remove it, it it will be recreated.
If you try to run elevated explorer, it will start automatically and de-elevated it.
If you would run elevated explorer, anything run via it would be elevated as well.

interesting action noted on this thread event

I wanted to add something that I found recently. I had the same thread running in my scheduler with no apparent reason for it. I took the advice of the final post and disabled it. The interesting part is that for some time now I have been looking for a reason and fix for a problem where explorer, when clicked on desktop, would take up to 2 minutes to fully load. None of the fixes suggested on the web helped. I Cleaned everything, emptied al temporary files, ran all fixes from MS - nothing.
As soon as i disabled this task and rebooted, explorer is now working perfectly. I have no doubt about what others have said that the string does or doesn't do.
I am only adding this comment as it might be of help to someone else with the windows explorer won't open or takes forever to do so. They might want to check in scheduler to see if this same task for explorer is set to run on startup. Disable it and reboot.
I would love to know if anyone figures out what installs this task and why?
