    No log in screen

Running a Dell all in on 27" with windows 10 pro. Intel i7
The machine turns on but the login screen does not appear.
Tried rebooting, tried shutting down 3 x's to get to safe mode, nothing works.
Help please, Also my local repair shop has never heard of the issue.

    Welcome to the TenForums @eramonas

When you tried rebooting and shutting down three times, did you hold the power button down when you saw the circling dots until it went hard down. It's a timing thing.

If on your log in screen , which I know you are not getting, has the power icon, if you hold the shift key down down and click restart it will take you to Advance startup. These no login screens have different flavors, hoping yours has some icons.

If you do have the power icon you might also hold the shift key down and click shutdown. Then power up once to see if things changed.

As @lx07 reminded me there is also a software way to boot to safe mode.

Hopefully the timing of the power down will get you where you wanted to be.

First off, is your data backed up in case this all heads south? ( or further south than it already is.)

When the no login screen is up, have you tried CRTL+ALT+DEL

I read this solution. I have not performed myself.

No login prompt at login screen

Before trying this though I would ensure data is backed up safely off your machine.

Thanks, I tried it and nothing happens, almost like the keyboard is not working, but when I hold shift & restart it puts me in troubleshoot area, but when I hit network safe mode I can't get on line on that machine. Says not available in safe mode.
I am trying to get to theDell site to run their diagnostics for drivers etc, but looks like not doable in a safe mode.

You tried deleting folder and nothing happened or CRTL+ALT+DEL.

If I understand correctly you went to safe mode and picked with Networking and the network doesn't start. I recommend a wired connection for this, plain and vanilla.

You see this all over the net, you can try drivers but your keyboard is being acknowledged. The space bar to get screen is being acknowledged, although no screen is coming up, and the shift key is working.

Myself I would be getting my data.

When you get through this I would also recommend Macrium Reflect. Free, reliable and a great way to resolve these items.

Were you successful in getting data files? A click here or there with these guys and they are gone.

One last thing and I know this is a stretch. Can you go into safe mode and create a new Admin user. My thought is this might trip the process to start displaying again. All my fingers cross.

    Good luck.
