The problem might not re-occur after repeating the update.
If it does re-occur, go to your computer maker [or NVidia if the display card was bought separately] and re-download the display driver then re-install it even if it is the same version you have now.
This will bowl out display driver corruption as a potential cause of the problem -
- Display driver corruption can lead to all manner of problems including visual items not being correct.
- There is no diagnostic test for driver corruption so re-installing it is the only way to rule it out as a cause of a problem.
