    want to disable auto rotate

Hi I have an HP Pavillion touchscreen laptop running windows 10.
I want to lie on my side in bed and watch a movie, so I want the screen to stay in landscape mode, but I cannot figure out how to do this. I cannot find any checkbox in the intel graphics control panel for this, nor does it appear in the display settings in windows. In the action center, rotation lock is greyed out in landscape mode and only shows up in portrait mode, which is not what I want. Please help! thanks

I also wish to disable auto-rotate. My 10" Asus Transformer Mini 2-in-1 (t102ha) will turn on the auto-rotate whenever I reattach the keyboard (going from tablet mode) regardless of what it is set to when being used as a 'tablet.

I either use this as an around the house mini-notebook with the keyboard attached or as a media player both with and without the keyboard, and never use it in portrait. If there is a secret 'administrator' setting in Win 10 or a registry hack, I would love to be able to apply it so it no longer rotates at all. Thanks

Have you tried to change it: Win + I / System / Display / Orientation ?

I had this problem of the auto rotate being turned On whenever I used my Asus Transformer Book T100TA as a Tablet but it is now permanently locked in Landscape mode. I thought an update must have fixed it, are you fully updated
I disconnect the tablet from the keyboard and then went to Settings > Display and selected Landscape in Orientation and then Lock rotation. I have had no problems since.

I have read of another method but never needed to try it.
    • Go to Device Manager
    • Sensors
    • Disable Invensense Sensor Collection

    Good luck :)
