    How To Fix Corrupted Svchost.exe File?


    How to fix a corrupted Svchost.exe File?
    I think it may be flawed..

    the host text file reads as clean

    svchost.exe is just a host wrapper to run other processes as a service. In Task Manager you will see multiple svchost entries on the Details tab, each running a different process. What makes you think svchost.exe is corrupt? If there is any corruption it's more likely to be the process that particular one is hosting, not svchost itself.

    To check for corruption you could open a command prompt (admin) and run

    sfc /scannow

    when i rebooted my pc Malwarebyes blocked the opening of some site and said that Svchost.exe was trying to open it so i scanned and looked at the .host file its self.. So far my system shows up as clean

    That's nothing to do with the file or the host file it as explained just runs other software so it's the software it's running that's the problem

    For a second opinion, scan with AdwCleaner.

    i ran Malware bites, AdwCleaner, and Hitbox... show clean
    sfc /scannow shows clean

    What precisely did Malwarebytes say it had blocked? What was the site? What was the exact message? Is there anything in Malwarebyte's history?

    message flashed so quickly and was gone... if it sows up agian i'll hit my screen cap button but for now all seams clean
