... I found this little itty, bity connection, that wasn't connection ... fixed it all, now able to log on and see the snowy, scratchy screen, so it didn't do anything to help...I am done...
There's always one connection that gets missed :) glad you found it.
My diagnosis is that the screen itself is faulty. If you can get a spare one cheap enough it might be worth replacing, at least you have the skills to do that now.
