    Some CD players can play mp3 files from a Data CD, but if you want to burn a standard format Audio CD from your music files, the tool that comes with Windows to use is Windows Media Player.

    In that open window you have there.....click on the share tab then click burn to disc.

    That will just burn the mp3 files to a Data disk, it will not create an Audio CD. For that you need additional software. Microsoft supply the Windows Media Player with Windows, OEMs may bundle a 'lite' version of Nero with their 'bloatware'.

    I tried Windows Media Player. It burned MP3 files, not audio .cda files.
