    Disable 'Always Ask Before Opening This File'


    When I'm about to install an .exe file I get a security warning with the heading, "Do you want to run this file" along with an option to, "Always ask before opening this file." I checked off that option and I disabled UAC. I don't want to see this message again when I install any file. But I still get this message. How do I disable it?

    Launch Local Group Policy Editor (Win + R, type in: gpedit.msc) and go to: User Configuration / Administrative Templates / Windows Components / Attachment Manager.

    In the right Pane double-click "Inclusion list for low file types", select the enable check box.
    Finally type in which type of files you want to disable.

    I can't say if this this will work 100%, back up your PC before trying.....

    I use this. Run CMD and copy/paste:

    reg add "HKCU\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Policies\Associations" /v "DefaultFileTypeRisk" /t REG_DWORD /d "1808" /f
    reg add "HKCU\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Policies\Attachments" /v "SaveZoneInformation" /t REG_DWORD /d "1" /f
