I don't have a touch screen on any of my Windows PC's. I have yet to run into a situation where I wished I had a touch screen to do something. Modern App or program. No problem at all navigating with a touch pad or my trackball. In Windows 8 or 10. Things that irk me about the UI would be just as frustrating on a touch screen.

90% of time I'm using a desktop (in my case tower but there are many horizontal box PCs) same way as I always did before, win10 or another ones since DOS and even before with Atari etc. That's why I consider 10 as primarily desktop environment. That last remaining percent are some Apps of which hopefully will be more noteworthy ones in near future. I don't discriminate, as long as SW works and does what I need and want, I'll use it. Looking forward to a reason to get a tablet and will get a windows phone soon. Having same App used on all devices could be a great advantage.
I don't have a smart phone, or a cell phone at all. I am getting the itch to buy a Windows phone though. I also wouldn't mind a tablet but can't afford both so the phone will likely come first. If I can use the same Apps on my phone,

I have compared the RAM usage of 8.1 and 10 in exactly the same (virtual) system. They are quasi identical. 12452 12453
