White screen on computer

    White Screen Resolved


    I ordered a new screen and it arrived this afternoon and I replaced the old screen, now everything works fine. So it looks as if I had a dead screen. I took a chance on spending $70,00 instead taking it for a diagnostics. Not knowing anything about computers I was lucky this time. A blind squirrel occasional will find a nut...........................

    I too have an HP that comes up with a white screen several times after a new install of Windows 10. What I have found is to use the Alt-Ctl-Del which will take you to a screen where you can get tot he task manager screen. All I did at this point was to cancel the screen and it returned me to my desktop.

    Now this is not a fix to the underlying problem but it will at least allow you to access your computer without having to do a hard shutdown of the computer which is not good for the hardware nor Windows itself.
