    problems with startup repair

My problem started after I was downloading layouts for my mahjong game. During the download, the screen went blank and then rebooted (no bsod). Up rebooting it went to Windows 10 troubleshooting tools. I choose to just continue and load Windows 10, The logon screen appeared listing all of my families 3 user id's. I selected mine, entered my pin and while loading my profile, I caught a glimpse of a light blue message screen (went by way to fast) and then a black screen (the only thing I could do was to ctrl, alt, del and went to task manager and I was logged in everything loaded but no video. So I rebooted and eventually went to advanced options and selected system repair. It eventually said that it could not make the repair. So I followed the information in tutorial and repeated the process (4 or 5 times making sure to restart each time) and I got the same message. So, I decided to see if the other id's had the same problem (which could mean a bad video card). So tested the other two and they worked perfectly So my profile is hosed. I then followed the tutorial for booting into safe mode. My id did the samething (they worked) Mine did not. I also followed the tutorial to fun sfc.exe (I could not find the sfcfix tat was listed in the tutorial). When I sfc /scannow at the command prompt I got the following message, "Windows Resource Protection could not start the repair service",

So I have a conundrum, I'm am at a complete loss regarding this problem.

Note: I've also tried system restore, to no avail.

In this case, try repairing with DVD/USB instead.
