Windows 10: How do I fix burry fonts or very small fonts
How do I fix burry fonts or very small fonts
When I connect to an external monitor (LG 34 inch Ultra via HDMI), my laptop folder fonts (only when attaching a file to email, uploading files etc.) are VERY small. To get them the right size, I have to make the laptop the main monitor and that makes the external monitors font blurry AND pointer etc. unusable big...
laptop = 3840x2160 (this is the recommended setting)
External = 2560x1080 (recommended)
Any ideas on how to fix?

Have you tried changing the scaling under Settings - Display?
I have. it makes all fonts/icons etc. larger yet the file folders and desktop icons stay tiny and illegible.
For the files that would be when you right click it will give you the option to go size and pick large or something else. Other than that I am not sure what else to say to do.
That does make the icons bigger but unfortunately, the font is still very, very small and doesn't change. Interestingly, when I connect 2 monitors, I don't have the problem. It's only when I use the laptop monitor and connect 1 external (LG ultra).
Maybe you can adjust them here?
Just tried, not working. I appreciate all the responses.
Worked for me with just one monitor (laptop) I will have to try it with an external. Dont know. Like you, fonts have always been a pain for me also.
Looks like an LG ultra-specific problem. Any LG monitor management app available on their website?

Can I do what the picture below describes :
Is there a utility that helps me do this?
I have a program (it was written in Visual Basic 6) that I've used for years , including the last 6 months or so on Window 10. Today I started it and lo and behold the fonts have been changed! This is a screen shot from my Windows 7 computer:...
I wonder if I can delete all fonts, but keep the system fonts (which available when we install a clean windows 10. I notice that there ware about 200-250 fonts, but now is over than 1200 fonts) ?
p/s: If you wants these fonts, I can send...
Where is the option to change the fonts for your icon, menu's etc... don't want to change size or colour just type.
I don't know about you but I am finding this messy and maddening.
In Win.7 you could modify the font for the windows, both size and font itself. Win 10 will not all me to modify size, which is stuck on 9pt, and there is no option shown to change...
