Posting screenshots is rather painless once you've practiced a bit. I press the PrntScrn key [lettering may be a bit different] which copies the screen to the Windows Clipboard, open Paint [in the Start, W, Windows Accessories, I Pin it to Start], click the Paste icon, crop if too big, save it then click Go Advanced on this page, locate the file [usually in Pictures] and attach it then post the question or the reply.
In W10, you can use "Windows Logo Key + PrtScn".

This will create a screenshot and place it in your "Pictures" folder (in a folder called "Screenshots").

And if you use either Large or Small Icons you can drag the right edge to the left to decrease the number of columns to one which makes it long/scrollable but the items are listed alphabetically.

"Why doesn't control panel display the long list of items alphabetically? Its tiresome always searching thru it to find an item."

You know you can type what you're looking for, like 'pointer', in the Search box in the upper R corner and the search will quickly return all Control Panel categories in which the term exists ? No need to scroll any list and wonder where the feature is.
No, I didn't know that but now I do.

"Would that be the so-called 'God Mode'?"

God mode?I thought you were joking.

By the way, what is the proper manner of displaying a quote without using the "Quote" button and thereby taking up huge amounts of space with big quotes, when all you want to do is refer to a small part of what someone said? I used bold italic just to distinguish a quote but don't know if that's proper. I'm still a novice at forums.

Never mind, I just remembered how to do that; you use the whole quote then highlight the part you don't want and delete it. Having a senior moment here,].

You are referring to hitting the Minimize button, then resizing the window forces every entry into one column. Yes, indeed, that works just fine. I never would have guessed that would rearrange alphabetically.

I Selected just that question, copied it, clicked the quote icon on the toolbar for this edit box, pasted the copy between the codes, typed my response and clicked Post Quick Reply.

@DAVEY JONES, if you use the Quote button beneath each post it automatically includes the name of the poster and a link to the post being quoted. You can then edit the quote down to just the line you want to reply to.
