Windows 10: Side-by-side configuration issue
Side-by-side configuration issue
Yesterday I tried to open Samsung Smart Switch and it failed. The same happened with Samsung Kies 3. I also could not update Smart Switch to version 4.1.16052.2
Thinking that the programmes were corrupted I though that I would uninstall and reinstall.
When I tried to reinstall Smart Switch I got an error message "The application has failed to start because the side-by-side configuration is incorrect"
I googled for information and installed Microsoft Visual C++ Redistributable Packages for Visual Studio 2015 Update 3 after which I was able to install Smart Switch and use it. However it refused to upgrade to the new version 4.1.16052.2
Soon afterwards I tried to install Kies 3 but then I got the error message again saying that the side-by-side configuration was incorrect. The same happened when I tried to reinstall Smart Switch.
Can anyone help me with this?
