    Error Code: 0xc0000221


    Hi guys,

    First time user here so not sure what I should put in the thread. I am basically in a bit of a shit situation as my laptop (Acer Aspire) has been quite laggy lately (Windows 10) and I just had junk everywhere so I decided to wipe everything. Now after my factory reset, when it starts up I get a blue screen with the title Recovery with the following:

    File:\\WINDOWS\system32\ntoskrnl.exe
    error code: 0xc0000221

    No matter if I select on options such as F8 and try to use any of the alternatives, I just get reverted back to the first blue screen. I do not have the Windows cd so I am wondering if I need to go out and buy one just so I get this fixed? Or is there a way to do another factory reset or something without a DVD or USB with windows on it.

    Appreciate any help I can get!

    Follow this tutorial: Windows 10 - Clean Install

    It tells you where and how to download the latest Windows 10 ISO, create a flash drive or DVD to install from, andf exactly how to do so.

    Ask here if you have any questions.
