Yes,that syncing will be a great boon to people with multiple devices, I'm waiting for W10 to stabilize and will switch to Windows phone and get a half decent tablet with 4G to go with it.
looking forward to getting 10 on a phone, my win phone is the only one I have at the moment, so don't really want to risk the preview on it
waiting to hear more from MS about tablets, I have a budget with Bing one, and at the moment its not compatible with 10, hope MS sorts this in the coming months

    Yes it does.
Yep, and "This PC" is much more logical sounding than My PC which, to me, is rather juvenile.

    General Rules - Rule 3

    Rule 3 reads:

"3) No spamming, advertising, selling, or promoting products or other sites."

I do not want to give offense. Does this mean that forum rules do not permit members to reference "main stream" reviews of the preview?

If it is OK to make such a reference, is a link to the review forbidden as "promoting products or other sites?"

I found such a review dated 7/4/15. It made many of the relevant points made on the preceding 9 pages. For the moment it has persuaded me to postpone the effort of of installing and testing Win10.

If it is permitted, I will post.

    thanks

I think that links for the purpose of referencing information is not what is meant by promoting a website. Referencing a website to promote it is different than referencing it for information that is posted on it. There are many posted links to articles on other websites already on this forum, especially in the News sub-forum.

At least you read the rules. :)

Go back to the Windows 10 Forums page and look at Windows 10 News. There you will see all the news about Windows 10 and chances are you'll even see an earlier posting of what you're referring to.

Posting from sources other than these forums is permitted . . . that's not promoting anything . . . it's passing on information. We can even point folks to the Windows 10 Community forums at Microsoft.

If you should point us to, ummm, XYZWin.com and say that it's superior to all other sites dedicated to Windows, that would be promoting the site. If you were to say XYZWin.com has a great review of Windows 10 and it can be found here, that's not promoting the site.
