Computer Hangs at Startup After Shutdown

My system "hangs" after I Shut Down and then start back up. It doesn't occur when I Restart the system.
    *
It "Hangs " when it gets to the black screen with the blue Windows logo in the center. I've waited a half an hour and remained hung. The "round working dots (for lack of a better term) never appear below the*logo.*
When it hangs, I press and hold the power button until it shuts off, and the press the power button and the system starts up fine.
In fact, at night before bed, when the computer shuts down, I hold in the button until it shuts off and it starts fine the next morning.

I've check and rechecked, and found that this occurs only after certain Windows 10 updates are installed:
    *
KB3188128 (Adobe Flash Player security update)
KB890830 (Windows Malicious Software Removal Tool )
    KB3161102 (Update for Windows 10)
    KB3181403 (Update for Windows 10)
    KB3150513) Update for Windows 10)
    *
This isn't all that were installed on that day and I have no idea how to find them now that I've restored a disk image several times since.

This is very frustrating and would very much like to get it corrected.
    Any help will be appreciated,
    James

    That fixed it!

I don't have an ASUS but it worked anyhow.
I've been screwing around since September trying to fix this.

    Thanks much,
