You can set File Explorer to open at 'This PC' rather than 'Quick access'. Use 'File', 'Change folder and search options' (Alt, F, O) and look on the 'General' tab. You can also turn off 'show recently used files in Quick access' and '...folders' here. On the 'View' tab scroll down the Advanced options, there are some options for the Navigation pane at the bottom that can alter how the left hand pane looks.
Anything currently pinned to 'Quick access' (eg. Documents, Pictures, etc.) can be removed by right-clicking on them and unpinning them. Other folders you may want on 'Quick access' instead (I have some network drives in mine) can be pinned there by right-clicking on them.
Thanks, I followed your instructions however I can't seem to get Quick access to go away. I did set the file explorer to open to this PC but Quick Access is still showing. I see where I can unpin the folder under quick access but will the Quick Access still show, I'd like to get rid of OneDrive as well
Thanks for the help
Personally I like Quick access to show my recently used folders (and little else), but if you want to remove it (and Onedrive) there are Tutorials for that.

Appreciate your reply and links. I understand that everyone has different likes and dislikes according to how they use their computer. I'd like to not see Quick Access and OneDrive but if I have to edit the registry I will let them be. If there is a way to do it without editing the registry I would love to learn how.
Once again thank you for your reply.
that might be difficult to do without the Registry
Haha, yea I just read it. Sorry about that.
But I would like to note that it might be very difficult to do it without setting the "Permissions" within the Registry. You're most likely gonna have to at least go into the Registry to set the Permissions settings.
I always had a problem with a 'Quick Access' icon showing up on the Desktop all the time when removing it from the navigation pane!
Would always have to refresh the desktop constantly!
