    Safe mode not being minimal

Sorry for the crap title, I couldn't think of a better way to word it
But anyway I'm having a strange problem on one of my computers, where when I boot into safe mode, the resolution is set to 800x600 as expected but all the drivers are loaded like a normal startup and the wallpaper isn't black like it should be. Basically, safe mode is booting normally except in a low resolution. Does anyone know what's going on?

    Hello yogalD, :)

It sounds like you may have booted into "3) Enable low-resolution video" from Startup Settings instead of safe mode.

Double check using the tutorial below to see if it may be able to help boot into safe mode.

Nope, I definitely hit 4 instead of 3.

Turns out it was my keyboard, I tried a PS/2 keyboard and it worked fine but for some reason hitting 4 on my main keyboard boots into low resolution video mode or whatever. Very strange.

Odd, but I'm glad you got it sorted.
