In Windows Explorer all videos converted with Any Video Converter have small thumbnails in Windows Explorer. i didn't used to have this problem. I tried for days to figure this out. I did one video with Handbrake and it was a normal size thumbnail for the same video i had problems with using Any Video Converter. How would one a video converter effect how windows processes thumbnails? I tried clearing the thumbnails through CCleaner and the Windows Cleanup. See Screenshot for what I'm talking about. I'm on Windows 10 64 bit. Using Classic Shell.

No. It seems that Any Video Converter has something to do with it. I tried another editor and it was fine but I don't have the money to buy it right now. Are you using Any Video Converter as well?

I've had the same problem. In fact, I found this forum searching for a better solution, but I'm happy to say I've found a workaround.

As chickadee28 said, the problem is that Any Video Converter encodes a custom thumbnail, which it generates automatically, onto the output file. Windows recognises this thumbnail and uses it instead of making one of its own, as it would otherwise do. Unfortunately, it would have done a much better job than Any Video Converter does.

Fortunately, you can remove this thumbnail (or encode your own, if you'd like) without messing about with the actual audio and video contents of the file by remuxing with something like mp4box. You'll have to drop the exevutable in the same folder as your video file, then go into command line, navigate to the folder with the video file and the executable and use the line:

    mp4box -add video_file_name.with_extension new_video_file_name.with_extension -new

this will generate a new video file that's identical to the video file produced by Any Video Converter, only it has no custom thumbnail and, as such, windows will generate one for it, which looks much better (and larger).

    Hope it helps!
