    Go to:
Settings/ Personalization/Themes. Under related settings select “Desktop Icon settings” Uncheck “Allow Themes to change desktop icons”
    see if that fixes it

Bit strange it only happens during the night, and for the last 6 nights in a row.
Maybe I just have a ghost...after all, it is Halloween.
And, by the way, AddRAM...Cowboys are better, lol.
    Thanks for the comments, everyone.

Ya, we`ll see how good they are against the lowly Eagles Sunday nite, then we`ll see how good they are on November 13th :)

You should stay up all night and stare at the screen

The Cowboys will be lucky to make it out of the Division, especially if Perry Como comes back.

So far I have not had this issue of "moving icons" with my new Windows 10 notebook, but my old WIndows 7 notebook was always doing it.... I found that Stardock Fences was the ideal solution, and have it installed on my new notebook... This allows you to have a "snapshot" of your desktop, if the icons move a couple of clicks and it will put them all back...

    Fences: Software from Stardock Corporation

I only use it for this feature, but with my Windows 7 it was fantastic.. especially if like me you have quite a few icons to try to rearrange :)

Too busy staying up staring at tv watching NFL, MLB and NBA all night (don't forget I'm in England, so bit of a time difference), lol.
Trying various suggested options re icons now, thanks.

Right click on desktop, from the menu choose 'View' , then untick 'Auto Arrange Icons'

I have this issue on 2 Zotac BI320 Zboxes. Can't figure it out either. Also note these have Intel chips so definitely NOT an nVidia thing..but Kodi is installed on both and they run 24/7 on TVs. So they are using HDMI input/output.

Will give the theme setting a shot and see if it helps.
