Windows 10: Win10 Does Not Remember Window Sizes on Reboot or Restart
Win10 Does Not Remember Window Sizes on Reboot or Restart
After latest Win10 updates, it does not remember the sizes or locations of windows that I intentionally left open when shutting down or restarting.
Does anyone know how this non-techie can make it remember?
Hopefully this answers half of your question
Do you switch between different monitors?

Folder Options box was checked previously. Apparently it got unchecked in the massive update. THANK YOU for reminding me. I'll try restarting and see if it works.
Yes, I have both monitors on all the time and keep open windows on both when I have a very active project. That's why I like them to be remembered.
Thanks again. I'll respond further when I know how the Folder Options box responds now.
Leaving 6 open windows in three different sizes and with different open specs, 4 on left screen and 2 on right, just restarted, and VOILA! All 6 reopened in fine shape. Thanks again.
No problems after the restart with either monitor.
Nah...YOU nailed it!
Gracias. Danke. Merci. Tak!
Depending on the GPU and control software, you tend to see these issues when people switch back and forth between different sized monitors.

Hi Guys and Girls,
I am trying to run games in a Window on a Multi-monitor setup.
I have been successful with The Sims 2, but the Window is too small.
Is there any way that I can increase the Minimized Window size.
Hope that you can help?
I believe this question has been asked before, so please forgive me for this indulgence. I just migrated with Win 10, a clean install not an upgrade. Every time I open the file explorer, it opens to a location slightly down and to the right. Over a...
After I upgraded from 7 to 10 I noticed my browser window wouldn't stay at the size I scaled it to on my main monitor when I dragged and dropped a new tab from my other monitor. Also it keeps dropping it a few pixels away from the left edge.
