It's part of Windows. You hover over or click the gray line to quickly show your desktop and minimize all open Windows.

How to remove that grey vertical line between task bar & show desktop? I set my laptop at tablet mode because i dont want to see that grey line in desktop mode. Thanks
I don't know if it can be removed. If you are online it is there so you can click on it to go to your Desk Top. Every Windows has had one.

EDIT: Sorry, I posted a new thread in the Customize forums, but it was moved back to my original thread here in General Support. I apologize for that Brink =)

Hopefully someone has an app that does it, or some registry edit?
Thanks for the replies above, but do you guys have a method for me to use please?

For the new people reading this:
Hi, I want to remove the grey vertical line that separates the Taskbar from the Show Desktop button. I want to remove/make it invisible, like how it was in Windows 8.1.
I do not want to disable the button itself; I still want to left click in that corner of the screen to go to the Desktop.
    Refer to the picture.

Yo, so very late to the topic, but for now the only way I know of to do this is with custom msttyle themes. Albeit not suggesting that since it's easy to brick your system if you don't know what your doing with those.

I'm the original poster of this thread.

    Updates:
Over time, I happened to find and put 7+ Taskbar Tweaker to it's best potential. This app allowed me to move that line all the way to the right of the Taskbar, and still works perfectly. As long as I put my mouse all the way in the bottom-right corner, on that silver sliver, then the "Show Desktop" features work, and I happened to have gotten to how the visual looks. It no longer bothers me.

Thank you everyone for your replies.
