I am having the same problem as bluebird. As soon as I even start a remote desktop connection my ability to copy paste on my local machine stops working. Restarting explorer does not fix. The only present recourse I have is to close out all remote desktop sessions if I need to use copy & paste - which is sub-optimal.
Any insight would be appreciated!

When setting up the connection, try unticking 'Clipboard' on the 'Local Resources' tab.
Well that was an obvious fix - thanks. Not having the ability to copy / paste from the remote session to my local computer is unfortunate, but is significantly less of an inconvenience than not being able to locally.
Seems you can have one but not the other
At least you can now make an informed choice before connecting...
