Why is Windows Host Process (Rundll32) in my Startup?

Why is there a Windows Host Process (Rundll32) in my Startup tab in Task Manager?

I'm not sure if this is a Windows 10 default action, or if it came from some program I installed. Shouldn't rundll32.exe start automatically if it's needed?

    It's not a virus, I'm positive it's the official exe in System32.
I'm just curious, wondering why it's there. I can disable it without any obvious consequences.

Rundll32 is used to execute a dynamic link library as an executable. I would grab autoruns and look at the full execution command and see what it is being used to run. https://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/.../bb963902.aspx

    Ah right thanks.
Just ran it there, and it seems there's a few dll's that like to run at startup: Logitech Download Assistant (for my mouse and keyboard), and Creative (for my sound). I guess one of those created the link to Rundll32.exe. I never notice the difference because they're just update programs that do nothing most of the time.

That seems to make sense now.
    Thanks!
