(Noob question) how much "usable" gigs do i get from a 1.2tb SSD

now i know thats a pretty noob question especially coming from a tec but i was wondering whats the hard drive formatted in ntfs displayed number of gb on a 1.2tb ssd?
i know that hard drives companies dont format in binary but in decimal meaning that for them 1tb is 1000mb when in normal standards (binary) its 1024mb.
    i have a 1tb hdd now and i get 931mb
and a 1.2tb would be like 1200mb. i know that more or less the companies differ on the memory by like a small amount but would i get like a solid TB showing with a 1.2tb or no?

Use the calculator app in Win10 and select Data, then go to this site: Terabytes and Tebibytes: Hard Drive Capacities Explained | Hardware | Windows Tools, Help Guides

    Or just use this chart:

A 1.2 TB drive would have an actual capacity of about 1.091 TB. But that is only the raw capacity which would be reduced somewhat by the NTFS metadata. Also be aware that the 1.2 TB is not exact but the result of rounding for which there are no firm standards.

The result would be very close to 1 TB. Above or below I would not care to say.
