Well it just happened again so I guess that wasn't the fix although it lasted 30 minutes which was a lot better than before.

So I found out Windows Modules Installer stopped again. Not sure how to get it to stay Active.

    Valyrian Steal,

After doing some further checking, found that the start should be on Demand, for which there is no button.
Start on Demand services start only when an event triggers its commencement.
So, let's configure the service properly.

    Please right click Start
    Select: Command Prompt (Admin)
At the Command Prompt, copy/paste (with mouse) the following 3 lines inside the Code box, one at a time, and press Enter after each:

    Code:
    sc config TrustedInstaller start= demand
    shutdown /r
    exit
    The computer will Restart.

Try it out to see if the setting remains, and whether the error and issues are still happening.
Unfortunately, the error mentioned can have many possibilities.

So I tried doing that and when I restarted my computer the same error came up.

I'm having the same issue where if I click a tab it will close unless I lock my computer.

I also checked Windows Modules Installer and the Service Status is still stopped.

I was wondering if i was supposed to start it and then try the thing with Command Prompt?

    Valyrian Steal,

The Service Status is fine for the 'on Demand' service. If the computer has not changed its behavior, the Windows Modules Installer may not be the issue. Something else is going on.

Do you have any Restore Points that you can go back to a time when the problems were not happening?

If not, doing a Reset lets you select whether to keep your files, if you wish, and reinstalls Windows 10.
Take a look at the following Tutorial published by Brink. It may help:
    Reset Windows 10 - Windows 10 Forums

Let us know what you decide to do. Thanks!

I've tried Restore Points and I don't have any before this issue.

As soon as I solve the issue I'll look up how to create one

I suppose I will try the Reset and see how that goes

Here is another Tutorial that will help you create a Restore Point:

I am assuming you do not have a machine with a 32GB drive!!

    So I did the reset.

From my understanding its still happening after that I'm starting to suspect it may be a hardware issue because my mouse is pretty screwed up I'm going to try a new mouse and keyboard and see if that is the issue.

Enter the words Device Manager into the search box on the taskbar, and select it from the list of results.

Do you see any yellow or red flags next to any entries?

Yes, under other devices I am using a different set of keyboard and mouse which so far is working out ok but you and I both know how quickly things can go wrong again so for now ill keep my fingers crossed and try to find out if the problem is my mouse or keyboard so that I can order a new one.

Do you play any games on your computer? I was thinking about listening to some people's recommendations.
