    Deus Ex Machina?

You don't want to control your girlfriend - she is an actual human, not virtual. You can, however, treat her right and see what happens then... :-)

Well it seems we got off topic so lets get back to control panel and settings. It's been said that you can't teach an old dog new tricks. It's true and in this case I would be the old dog and settings would be the new tricks. I like the CP as it does just about everything I want to do. Some of those things I can't do (or don't know how to do) in settings. As an example if I want to get to Folder Options, I open CP and start typing. I only have to type fol and it will give me a link to folder options. How would this old dog do accomplish that in settings?

Open Settings and in the box, upper left, that states "find settings" type what you need. In this case as I started typing folder "File Explorer Options" was at the top of the list to select.

I don't care if it is Settings now or CP before - I find what I need to set and that's enough for me. Of course, some people will stay on Win 7 just for the CP and Aero, and that's up to them.
    Agree, Agree, Agree. . .

Good song.. great singer. And in the end we'll all get used to the new settings.. and then MS will change it again.
