Thats a long time with no response.

Could be your question isn't really clear. This is what I assume.

You download a file to the download folder, you open up the download folder and can't find the file that was downloaded seconds before ? If that is correct, I have found that it is best to have that folder sorted in descending sentence of "Date Modified". This will always place the file with the latest date at the top. Now if you have the download folders open in file explorer, you will have to refresh the display, since explorer will not automatically updated that folder.

    Hope that answers your question.

this did the trick for me
    Code:
    [HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\WOW6432Node\CLSID\{BDEADE7F-C265-11D0-BCED-00A0C90AB50F}\Instance]
    "DontRefresh"=dword:00000000

    Tom,

I suggest that you devote your energies to activities that bring you tangible benefits because any effort expended on solving Refresh problems will be futile.

Refresh problems have existed since XP if not before. There is no reason to expect an effective, long-lasting solution.

I reboot my computers daily. Doing so reduces the occurrence of Refresh problems but does not avoid them completely.

I agree , I have tried most of the so called solutions. I have to say all are just temporary.

Most don't last a reboot and none last an update.

    Thomas,

I devoted a month of my life to tracking down & trying lots of non-solutions.
    - Some have no effect straightaway.
    - Some have an effect that ceases after a reboot, after noon, after a few days, after I remove the clove of garlic hanging over the computer, after …
So I agree with your agreement.

    All the best,
    Denis

no idea what u mean. I had a working fix (for local storage, no idea about network). my copy updated recently, two weeks ago I think, but when I last applied the fix I found, I didn't write it down.

with "DontRefresh"=dword:00000000 the file gets pasted at the end, the window refreshes but you're / the outline selection is still stuck at the bottom. so I must've had a different one. super pissed rn

I replied cause some of these threads were in my history when I searched for a fix.
