Windows 10: Loss of Power - No BSOD
Loss of Power - No BSOD
A bit frustrated. I get this message in the Event Viewer, but I don't know how to fix it.
The machine-default permission settings do not grant Local Activation permission for the COM Server application with CLSID
to the user Bugsy\CRYSTAL SID (S-1-5-21-1217344509-49604661-3481387750-1001) from address LocalHost (Using LRPC) running in the application container Microsoft.Windows.Cortana_184.108.40.206_neutral_neutral_cw5n1h2txyewy SID (S-1-15-2-1861897761-1695161497-2927542615-642690995-327840285-2659745135-2630312742). This security permission can be modified using the Component Services administrative tool.
I do not understand how to fix it.
I was going to post it in BSOD, but it doesn't blue screen. It just completely shuts down my computer.
I'm working on it. I went into Regedit like it said, tried to change the permissions to Administrator. It says it has full permissions, but when I go back into Component Services it is still grayed out.
I'm stuck changing the owner from TrustedInstaller. It says I don't have permission to do that.

Here is the...

Been getting random freezes for the past month now and it's really annoying. Because they're not related to BSOD, I am getting no dump files to analyze. Event Viewer is useless too.
The freezes aren't really that consistent; they happen maybe 6...
It may be unrelated, but i would not get so many BSOD's before i sent my PC to get the power supply fixed. I got three in 15 minutes!
Any help would be very much appreciated.
Hi, have done the upgrade from Windows 7 on fairly old hardware I guess now, I think these crashes which are happening at least once a day, random times, sometimes after boot, others after running a while maybe driver related.
