Explorer constantly refreshing every 5 seconds, unable to use explorer

Hi, I've just updated to win10 build 1607 (or whatever the latest number is) this morning and when I completed the update, I noticed the task bar constantly refreshing every 3-5 seconds. I believe the issue to be related to Daemon tools pro which keeps popping up a message saying the program is not compatible with this version of Windows. Unfortunately, when I try to uninstall it through add/remove programs in safe mode, explorer crashes and I'm unable to do so. I'm able to use fire explorer in safe mode and changed some of the daemon tools filenames (didn't help)

Is there any way to disable Daemon tools to see if it is causing my issue? I can open control panel in safe mode, but again I can't uninstall it. I can open explorer in regular mode but as soon as I right click or try to change directories, it freezes on me.

    Thoughts?

One of the ways to disable it is in Task manager. Open Task Manager, select Startup tab and right click on Deamon tools. Select disable.

To uninstall (if control panel doesn't work), you can go to program folder (program files x86) then to deamon tools folder and find uninstall program.

Also you can try Revo uninstaller

Disabling it in Task manager didn't help, I disabled many other things as well just in case.

I downloaded Revo and force uninstalled it, still having the issue I'm not getting any other errors though. This is very frustrating!

Is Revo uninstaller something I need to download? Or an existing utility?
Revo uninstaller is a tool you have to download.

Read this thread on Microsoft support forums (4th or 5th message), it have all necessary instructions.

Read the thread above and give it some time...
    Hey it worked.
I downIoaded the revo uninstaller, started the program marked deamon tools and the advanced delete option, the pop up massage started popping up (the program is not compatible on win 10.. and revo uninstaller stopped working, but i gave it some time and it finished deleteing the program. rebooted the computer and all is good now.

I edited my response above after I tried it.. I believe it is uninstalled now but I am still having the constant refresh issue. Not sure where to go from here.

Try typing sfc /scannow in command prompt (admin) and check if it reports any errors.

    Edit. Are you using f.lux?

I tried and it did not find anything. Yes I use f.lux but I have also disabled it in startup and don't see it under processes or services in task manager.

I mentioned f.lux, because it can make some flickering if color temp is set too low.

What is you PC condition right now (you restarted it, I assume)? Crashes were just when trying to uninstall Deamon tools?

Try to reinstall graphic card drivers. Sometimes there are problems with upgrades and drivers (Anniversary update was like system upgrade).

Oh, and check in Reliability history, if you have any errors.

Ok, how do I check reliability history? edit: it won't open

I've rebooted many times. Never a crash, only constant refreshing of the taskbar. The Daemon tools error was popping up in the notification center. Now that issue doesn't continually pop up, but the task bar still refreshes constantly. Maybe I can take a video with OBS and upload it..

just click on start and type reliability, click on result in search bar. if you put up video, try to put Task manager in it to show processes...
