In Windows 8 the boot its very quicly.
When did you get Windows 20? Everyone is still using Windows 10. Joking aside, when you did the in place upgrade, your machine will have left over garbage for going from old to new OS. It is a known problem with Windows 10. Do a Clean Install with Windows 10 and then install your software.

Most likely not. Put the drivers on a Thumb Drive if you still have the downloaded files and then do a clean install and everything should go fine.

Then get them moved over to a NAS so that you do not loose them. In this day and age, you do not need anything stored on the computer, because you will end up losing that information if the hard drive crashes or something happens to Windows.

Get the files moved to external storage, then do the clean. I have a 4TB Fantom drive that has USB 3.x and eSATA. It is used for backups from my Synology DIS-216+II for everything. Even if I travel, I can still access that information from anywhere.
