When I restart, Windows font size goes back to default.

When I change the font size, It works until restart then I goes back to the default font.

    Where are these setting stored?

Hi, @doncole. Could you describe or post a screenshot of how you are changing the font size, please? Thanks, TC

EDIT: Looks like you have 3 threads open on the same question!

@doncole ... I'm gonna take a stab at a fix. Sometimes (unclear why) settings don't take as expected. After you make the changes to Title Bar size and click apply, instead of restarting, sign off and sign back on. See if the changes are still there. If so, restart and see if they are there.

I am assuming you are doing it here:

Also, you will may find it easier to get to these settings, and others, if you add this context menu entry to your Desktop Context menu. From a tutorial here on Tenforums: 'Personalize (classic)' context menu - Add in Windows 10 - Windows 10 Forums

    I am.

If I hit Apply and continue . Everything's ok until I restart.

If I hit Apply and Switch user. And sign back in as same user it reverts back to 9pt, (default}).

If I hit Apply and Log off; sign back in same user goes back 9pt.
I even tried Set a Custom Setting Level (which works, sticks on restart)

I should mention here that I installed Windows 10 ANV update.

I did not like so I reverted back. (it said you could)
I could not revert back to Windows 8.1 because I delete the 8.1 backup files to make room for the ANV update (20 GIG ).

I had another problem All windows title bars white.

Somebody gave an update that came out before Before ANV.
    I was called Aero Lite.

    @doncole, good morning!

First, is this the model laptop you have? Toshiba Satellite C55 B Laptop Computer With 15.6 Screen Intel Celeron Processor C55 B5299 by Office Depot OfficeMax

Second, you have 3 threads discussing this same issue. I would suggest you delete the other 2. If people start responding to 3 threads at once, nobody will be able to find anything.

Third.... What, exactly, are you hoping to accomplish? Do you want to fix all the issues with your Windows 10, or find a way to revert back to your 8.1?

    -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Have you considered restoring your backup from before all this happened? Maybe the one that has your 8.1 on it?

Have you considered doing a totally clean install, then copy back your data and install your programs?

There are a lot of options available and many helping hands here on TF, but we need to know what you want to do, and what data you have backed up.

Look forward to your reply..... TC

    Thank you f14tomcat,

As far as the multi pile posts:
If I post something and it goes by more than a day probably nobody going to respond. So I change The name slightly to get it back to the top of the list where someone might see it.

    1.) I installed Window 10.
2.) I had a lady (that knows more then me) change some drivers on this old Toshiba so the brightness could be controlled with Windows 10.
3.) I installed the ANV update.
4.) I uninstalled the ANV update.
All this took about one month.

So what I have is Windows 10 without the ANV upgrade.

    My goals:
I mainly use this computer for football handy capping.

So for now I don't want to change operating system. (I only have one computer)
If have to change the font every time I restart then I'll just have to live with it.
How did people change the font after the release of Windows 10 but before the ANV upgrade?

    And thank you again,

    Don Cole

@doncole ... Don, If you decide to get your OS up to the latest (14393 Anniversary), start with step 4: To do a repair install of Windows 10 with an ISO file from the tutorial here:

Repair Install Windows 10 with an In-place Upgrade - Windows 10 Forums

It may very likely fix your font issue and get you up to date. It's straight forward and it will preserve your files and programs.
