Can't turn off "Search online and include web results" (Cortana)

Hi, ever since I installed the windows anniversary update I haven't been able to disable the "Search online and include web results" in Cortana settings. When I turn it off the next time I check the setting its just turned itself back on again... Having this setting enabled really slows down my search results, so if anyone could help that would be great. Also has anyone else been getting 99% usage on ram, cpu etc from multiple different things since the update? I'm constantly having to disable windows security (aswell as other things) to stop it basically freezing my PC. Thanks.

In prior beta and regular builds yes you may know we could turn off task bar search /Cortana unified local /web search to local search only

Get an intel CPU and an SSD that can single thread and go fast plausibly / sarc.

........just came over to the Intel Haswell Core i5 dark side on this new test mule in my specs from an K10 AMD 6 core ...
( TBH that wasn't bad just not nearly as fast in the real world ) and ain't looking back..... nothing regular or common multitasking slows this thing down

Now at least in 14915 and maybe 14905 ( not sure about the AU ,haven't tried it ) you can't do that now but only turn off all the cortana options you can see in cortana settings but web search isn't one of them in the betas anymore....................

Maybe someone knows a reg hack from prior builds that allow this for us ?

ppffttt.....that's above my usual windows beta pay grade ......(free ) to find it even if knew where to look and I don't have a live copy of anthing to compare beyond 14915 on this test mule in my specs and the AU x4 PC's .

OTOH al this makes a good argument to put 10586th2 on new NTFS volume or VM temporarily and look in the reg for a plausible (no cortana web search ) hack to put in the new betas and maybe the AU .

SRSLY I'm willing to offer up a forum rep tick button up vote and kudos here for that
