Document Folder pinned to opening the Cookies folder

I backup online with Carbonite and following my recent refresh of my laptop the files and folders in "Documents" are not being backed up.
Carbonite support took control of my laptop and told me: "The Documents Folder shortcut from within the Windows File Explorer is pinned to opening the Cookies Folder on your PC. You need to get the folders pinned and reorganised accordingly. Once the data is registered on your computer as a Document and not a Cookie file or folder, Carbonite will be able to back it up".

If I right click on the File Explorer icon in the Taskbar I don't see any mention of Cookies, so how do I overcome this problem? Can anyone please help?

They appear to be commenting on something viewed via an explorer window, which they call "The Documents Folder shortcut".

I don't understand their statement- suggest you get back to them.
