    Stuck at "Lock screen"

I tried to look into this issue myself but most threads are related to a windows update that prevented login, or various other Windows startup issues, non explained the problem I'm having, so here it is:

Windows automatically goes into the lock screen with screen savers after a while, I click once in the screen saver and it takes me to a login screen (even though I didn't set a a password) trying to login from there gets spinning animation going til it goes the lock screen, and on and on.. Ive tried Startup repair and checking disks for errors but came up with nothing, so any help appreciated.

Just to be clear, most people are complaining about mouse and keyboard not working, my mouse IS working, it just won't login back to Windows.

Not sure if it helps but you can set it so you don't need a password after sleep too.....

Solved How to disablelock screen that comes up when display turns off? - Windows 10 Forums

Unless the actual screensaver you are using , uses a Password too ? if so disable it incase it is problematic? not sure if above work for screensavers?.... just sleep mode

No its just the login screen locking up. Its really funny.. both ways suggested in that thread don't exist for me, there is no option to not ask for the password, even though like I said I DON'T have a password set

Set a password and then just disable it , you may find less issues that way in Win10

There is no option named "Require sign-in" in settings even with password.

Is there a way to completely disable this screensaver/autolock feature completely using a registry edit maybe?

    Option 1 works here
Sign in User Account Automatically at Windows 10 Startup - Windows 10 Forums
    or
Require Sign-in on Wakeup - Turn On or Off in Windows 10 - Windows 10 Forums

Of course if your User Account doesn't have a Password , you can't disable it........

Ok, I set it to Never but not sure how does that work exactly, does it go directly to the desktop from the screen saver thing? I wanted to disable altogether.

1st one , option 1 turns off Password for PC.... you end up at the Desktop , without the password or pin

2nd one is one of 3 ways to disable the need for a password after the computer sleeps , ....computer just open back where you left it

I don't use a screensaver but make sure it's requirement for the password is off too (unchecked)

Thanks, I got rid of it for the moment but it still annoys me that having the login screen for any reason without a password set will get stuck.

Is this a Windows bug or is something wrong with my installation?

I don't know sorry , Windows likes to have a password even if you disable it afterwards, I find it best just to do that as the password is still used to schedule Events and for accessing other computers on the LAN etc.
