I've tried this Windows 7 script, with and without notify sound, and it's working good on my Windows 10, but system sound is muted every time I run the script. This doesn't happened when toggle hide/show hidden files from explorer ribbon menu.

    Hello bl00keRs,

Will the context menu below designed for Windows 10 work for what you want? It doesn't have sound though.

Thank you for it but it's not what I'm looking for. I'd like to have a toggle for on/off like the .vbs script from Windows 7. Is this doable on the Windows 10, without muting system sound or is it impossible to achieve?

The first item in the context menu will toggle on/off hidden items easier than using a .vbs script, and it will not mute.

I just currently don't have anything specifically for W10 that plays a sound when it toggles on/off.

The thing is that I won't add it to context menu by a registry entry, but through Easy Context Menu. It's not a big deal if it doesn't work without muting system sound as I use it sporadic, it's more like a wish
    Thank you for your time

I'd like to inform you that I don't know what's going on and why, but it's no longer muting sound after executing the .vbs script from SevenForums.
