Finding the Sound control from Settings

Is there a path from the settings icon in the startbar to the sound control which is in Control Panel > All Control Panel Items?

I'm finding that I'm having to build my own Settings control, which contains the settings that I can't find in the standard Settings control!

Right click the Volume icon in the system tray.

The shortcut commands here ... ... https://support.microsoft.com/en-gb/kb/192806 still appear to work

for your requirement create a batch file containing ... control mmsys.cpl sounds

Thanks for that. It also leads on to a related question:

How can I influence which icons appear in the system tray, and which ones appear in the small popup panel which appears when I click the up-arrow to the left of the system tray?
