Where is the Taskbar & Start Menu Properties in the Anniversary Update

In 1511 I right clicked in the Start field and it brought up a Properties link. Then there were lots of configuration setting for the Start screen. That no longer works.

To the point, before I was able to hide the Apps column and access it by clicking All Apps. I'd like to reset that back.

    Possible now?

No, sorry. People keep asking.. this is a design change by MS as you will see if you search the web for articles e.g.
"what has changed in the windows anniversary edition"

    e.g.

If you don't like it, I recommend using a 3rd party start menu. The Win 10 start menu fails miserably in representing a Win 7 style start menu folder structure using subfolders.

    Yes, you are correct.
The message has been quite clear for the past year: "Your preferences are not important. Just get used to it."

...MS is on a mission. Cross platform compatibility with one offering. But it's also had to backtrack a bit. Windows is less flexible than it was in some ways, exp. appearance.

You are still free to install a 3rd party menu. I use Classic Shell- it just works.

I've played with those, including classic shell. It's just not so important I need to invest the time.
My only beef is that this PC is in an office setting, and when I fire it up in the morning to get some work done I don't need to be dealing with my workspace changing without notice (or permission).
