    System reserved partition got assigned c:\


    Hello, today i went ahead and turned my pc on. After a bit i noticed that the automatic repair is running, then i got option to restart pc which i did. It happened again and again. After a bit of troubleshooting i noticed that my c drive is now d and d is now e. I went ahead and opened diskpart using the command prompt in recovery and noticed that the system reserved was now assigned to c. I tried to remove the letter from the system reserved and fixing the letters on another drives. After restart the letters got back to where they were (sys reserved c:) and windows still dont load. I need your help, i really dont want to reinstall windows and all the programs.

    Are you sure? In the recovery environment the drive letters are always different than they are in the OS.

    I cant really send you the screenshot now. Even if it is so, when i restart computer it always goes to automatic repair thing, then diagnoses pc and says theres something wrong with options to restart and use recovery.

    Well i managed to disable the auto repair and now its saying that tm.sys is missing. I cant tell the exact error code as im wųaway from the computer for now. Would copying tm.sys from my windows tablet to the pc work? And is there difference for it if the pc is 64 bit but tablet 32?

    In the RE (Recovery Environment, X:\soureces )the System Reserved partition will get assigned the drive letter C: but once Windows is repaired and you can boot normally, it will go back to no drive letter.
    If you can boot into Safe Mode or Safe Mode with Command Prompt type SFC /scannow and press enter. This will restore any missing system files.
    If you are in the RE, then at the X:\Sources prompt, type the drive letter of Windows (ie) D: and press enter. You can run chkdsk /R. If you want to run SFC type in sfc/scannow /offbootdir=c:\ /offwindir=c:\windows press enter

    Guys, i did it! I downloaded a 64 bit version of tm.sys for windows 10 home and just replaced the file! Im currently writing on my pc and thanks for your suggestions!
