What I would do is download the ISO from here....and not use MCT ....then MOUNT that iso from your desktop, using setup.exe.
Unless the one you have installed on this Disk....works.
Windows 10 ISO Download - Windows 10 Forums
I tired the method on the video by going through Settings and Recovery would not activate.
There was a repair section in the Advance settings when I was looking for the EUFI, is that different that what we are trying to do?
Or is my best course to try and reinstall Win10 from the upgrade disK?
I did that and it open in a ISO file but would not execute. Tried to use the update file from my CD and it would not execute. The common message on that computer is that file, which ever I chose, I just open the source file with file explorer and again, the setup would not execute after trying to mouse click it,. Just tried a different mouse and as the other, the left click does nothing.
Am I only left with starting this from the original update dvd??
Or do I go back to the Advance mode and do a Repair from there?
Thanks for trying. Left side of either mouse does not get a response. Will try to get the Advance Mode when I tried to get to the UEFI. Notice there was a Repair option, will try that and hope that it will execute.
I have use OldMike65's method to upgrade five computers in the last week which you can also use to do in-place Repair.
To recap- go to this link - Windows 10 ISO
Select Edition & Confirm; Select Language & Confirm/select 32 or 64 bit, save download to your desktop. Right click the finished ISO and click mount (see post 25). This brings up the file structure in post 23. Double-click 'setup' and let it run until it asks you if you want to keep files and apps. May ask you if you want to repair. If so, click Yes. DONE !! Will re-install the latest edition.
