Microsoft cannot be, shouldn't be, a "Clearing House" for all possible 3rd party apps/progs. If I have to go through "The Store" (Beta, Alpha, or any other Greek letter) to download/install/manage/uninstall all software, it will be a freakin' nightmare!

It just ain't gonna happen... IMHO

Ok.. discussing an issue or disagreeing is one thing but you're borderline insulting a member here and that is against the rules.
didn't really insult anyone ,it's true he missed my point several times , not an insult to mention that.

    also it's very childish replay

The point is not going over my head! You want windows to be like the Apple OS. Instead of forcing your ideas on me you can switch to Apple or any other OS you want.
Just what I was thinking right now but you wrote it first. I want to be master of my own destiny and not let MS and what ever OS maker tell me what I should download or use. We have seen a lot of good OSs go down the drain for wanting to be unique and have exclusive say in what users want and use. What MS should do is just to keep tight reigns on Apps in their own store and only for recommending Apps but not interfere about anything else.

It's not going to and it's never going to happen.
Just wishful thinking on the OP's part I guess.

One of the main reason why Windows RT died is because of lack of support for x86 applications. What you want is to revive RT and there's no way software developers will rewrite their programs or make 2 versions of it for your crusade. You are encouraging MS monopoly to gain control of all apps and programs and if it happens, you will have to pay for a bigger price.
