    @Qushery
    I think, after carefully reading your OP, I have to disagree with your thoughts. Why??

    By locking Win10 to only allowing items from the MS Store is being very restrictive to the vast majority of people who do know what they're doing with Windows and need to add software/apps that will never be in the Store.

    Example: Coding tools for languages like Python, C++ Go.. etc.. They could be added I guess but the way that they are set up now there is no need to do this. And there are countless other apps/programs and software that would fall into the same category.

    Bottom line for me at least is I want total control over my PC and I don't think that making everyone have to change features to do what they are used to doing is just the wrong way to go.. and I highly doubt that your proposal will get any traction.

    And as a self proclaimed you would know that you can keep users from downloading and installing anything from the browser through administrative features in a browser.

    I think the point is you're never going to make any OS so safe that someone will get malware when they install software/apps.

    IMO MS does a good job of keeping Windows secure. Just look at all the security updates they release. It is not MS job to hold my hand and tell me what I can and can not install on my computer. Installing programs and apps is not the only way to infect a computer.Maybe MS should block all Windows computers from having internet access and allow Power Users the option to turn this feature on.
    when the biggest problems of windows are exe based (adware, malware and viruses) then Microsoft need to do something to fix it.

    your internet argument is not logical ,when windows don't allow installing apps from third party sources the Windows store will be there to offer apps (modern and win32)

    why not ? do you get malware when installing apps from the mac store or the Android Play store

    what is funny is that this is already implemented on Mac OS and Android , and it's not a problem for power users to go to the setting and enable installing apps from anywhere.

    I did't ask for full locking like IOS , it's a semi lock (like android or mac OS , but by default will give the safety level of ios) , most win32 can be repackaged for the store , if someone wanted an app that is not on the store then (like android) they can go to the settings and enable that.

    it's just making the OS more secure for normal users and without taking away any control from power users

    it's about making windows very safe by default (with no need to install third party malware protection or asking someone to be an admin )

    You're still making the decisions about what I want to do and can do with my PC by making me and others change settings in the OS. I for one want it to stay the same as it's always been. Windows is about as safe as your going to find any OS today. If you're having issues with your group installing malware then you need to instruct them better on how to use their PC's and not force what you want on others.

    No it didn't! If you want Windows to be like another OS than stop using Windows and start using the other OS. I do not want and do not need MS holding my hand when I'm on my computer.

    I just remembered something. There was a version of Windows that was "locked" to Windows Store only but was discontinued and never made it this far. The OP probably missed it and didn't know it existed before (or maybe there are still some surviving units in the MS Customer Returns warehouse and one of then use to be mine). The Windows RT.

    So I guess, the OP can cross this out from his wishlist or just get a Windows Phone.
