    Probable Fix

The fix for me on this was to add the SYSTEM account to the DCOM Security. Go to Component Services, computers, my computer, right click and properties , go to COM security, in access permissions AND Launch Activation Permissions Edit the limits and edit the Defaults and ensure the SYSTEM account is added and given all rights locally and remote.

All my errors like this went away afterwards. Now I just have the WUDFRd event ID 219 left on Anniversary edition.

I've started getting Event 3104 errors since the Anniversary Upgrade (see below). I reset the search index but the error continues. Does anyone have this issue and have you found a solution?

I haven't had this error for over a week so maybe MS fixed the problem? My main errors are now the common 10016 errors.

I still get this error, but it's sporadic. I can go days without seeing it, then boom it re-appears

Can you explain how to "ensure the SYSTEM account is added and given all rights"... I have Access Permissions and Activation Permissions up, just not sure how to add the SYSTEM account thing..

I'm still getting a burst of 20 if these errors every day. I tried the fix above but I still get the errors. Are there any other fixes?

    Hey Steve C,
Try resetting the Search Index by doing the following.
Open regedit and navigate to the key HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows Search change SetupCompletedSuccessfully to 0 and reboot PC.

Thanks for this tip which I've added to my library. The index was rebuilt and I've had no more 3104 errors after several reboots.
