Disabling the Windows 10 Auto-destruct feature?
I've been on Windows 10 for nearly two weeks. I turned my back on it this morning, and when I returned in an hour it had done something which:
- Restored Windows setting almost to a clean install state (some video settings survived)
- Regresses an update to Google Chrome from three days ago
- Lost all of my Google settings; Chrome Browser/Gmail/etc.
- Lost all my Chrome Bookmarks
- Myriad other settings/regressions, which will take me months to recover (some that date back to Windows 95)
I took a restore point yesterday, but I can't find out how to do a restore. I expect that my restore points will have been wiped out.
But if someone could tell me where to find the mechanism that allows me to fall back to a previous restore point, that would be my next step.
